Removing and Preventing Calcium Buildup On Your Faucets – Pure Plumbing TipsPosted by fastekpl in Plumber Talk, on January 30, 2018
Hello everybody, Andy with Pure Plumbing.
Today we’re going to give you a couple of suggestions on how to keep the calcium off of your faucet. This here is a faucet that got completely destroyed by calcium buildup.
To prevent this from happening, washing your faucet after every use will help. If you have calcium buildup on your faucet currently, and you want to remove it, the best suggestion I can give you is pick up a bottle of white vinegar from the local grocery store, mix it with a little bit of water, dip a rag in that solution, proceed to wrap it around your faucet, secure it with a rubber band, and let it sit for a minimum of two hours.
After your two hours, you’re going to remove it, dust your faucet lightly with baking soda, proceed to scrub lightly with a toothbrush, and you should get the results you like.
To prevent this from happening in the future, my best suggestion is call Pure Plumbing and we can suggest a water softening
system that will work best for you. Thank you.
